WABC-TV -- Kerry Kennedy, the ex wife of Governor Andrew Cuomo, has been arrested.
Kennedy is charged with driving while impaired by drugs.
State Police said they found Kennedy, 52, sitting behind the wheel of her disabled 2008 Lexus RS 350 on state Route 22. The car had sustained damage, including a flat tire.
An investigation is said to have found Kennedy had been operating the car while her ability was impaired by drugs.
Kennedy is the seventh child of the late Robert F. Kennedy, a former U.S. senator from New York and U.S. Attorney General under his brother, the late President John F. Kennedy.
She was married to Cuomo from 1991 to 2003 and is the mother of his three daughters.
