(WENN) - Actors Wilmer Valderrama and Minka Kelly have poked fun at rumors of a new romance in a series of jokey posts on Twitter.com.
Valderrama played down gossip about a budding relationship last month (Mar12), insisting he enjoys a platonic friendship with Kelly as they had been pals "for a long time".
The stars fueled romance reports on Monday by attending the opening of a new Sydney nightclub together and just a day later, they were snapped strolling along the waterfront in the city's Balmoral district.
However, both actors have now taken to Twitter in a bid to squash the dating rumors, with Kelly insisting they were part of a large group during the day out.
In a post, Valderrama writes:
Yo @minkakelly were you romantically gazing into my eyes, while romantically having a stroll? ha!

Kelly responded:
