People magazine has crowned Beyonce the World's Most Beautiful Woman of 2012.

"I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth," Beyonce tells People. "I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a sense of purpose on this earth."

It's been a big year for Beyonce. The singer turned 30 in September, and in January she welcomed her first child with husband Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter.  "The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy," Bey tells the magazine. "The word 'love' means something completely different now." 

People magazine's annual Most Beautiful Woman issue hits newsstands Friday.
